Summary/Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the ability of adolescents between 14-17 ages to predict their bloated self and their levels of emotional autonomy and social anxiety. The study group consists of a total of 411 students, 198(48.2%) girls and 213(51.8%) boys, who were in 9th,10th and 11th grade in 9 different secondary schools in Istanbul city center in 2018-2019 academic year. Perceived Helicopter Parent Attitude Scale (HPAS), Exaggerated sense of Ego A Scale, Emotional Autonomy Scale (EAS), Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tools. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was seen that the relationship between helicopter parental attitude and social anxiety was significant, but the relationship between emotional autonomy was not significant. When the mediating role of social anxiety variable in the relationship between helicopter parental attitude and inflated self was examined, it was found that the relationship between parental attitude and inflated self was not significant, other relationships in the model were significant, and the social anxiety had full mediator role in the model.
