Summary/Abstract: Court records are one of the unique sources for researchers. Thanks to these records, also known as kadı registers, researchers have the opportunity to reflect on the structure of society. The fact that the registers include municipal and judicial issues as well as the orders sent from the center increases their value even more. For this reason, the studies utilizing the registers have been carried out for many years, and gained momentum in recent years. Crimean Şer’iyye Registers have the same value. However, the studies on Crimean şer’iyye registers appear recently, whereas the existence of those registers have been known as of 90's. The scientific works on these records started after Crimean şer’iyye registers were brought to Turkey in 1995. Pioneered by Halil İnalcık, several scholars like Ahmet Nezihi Turan, Ahmet Cihan-Fehmi Yılmaz and Nuri Kavak wrote articles on the content and value of the registers. These studies were accompanied by master's and doctoral theses. These studies show that the Crimean registers have been in line with those from other regions in terms of their content and recording practices. Probate inventories in the registers are also within this scope. However, we so found that there were several differences in some probate inventories. The uniformity and differences of these sources constitute the main problematic of the article. But in particular, the differences will be more focused. Naturally, the source of the article will be Crimean şer’iyye registers.
