Features of the Dialect of the Settlements, situated along the Yat Border in the Vicinity of Ihtiman and Pazardzhik

Summary/Abstract: The text is part of a master's thesis on “Peculiarities in the speech of the settlements located near the border in Ihtimansko and Pazardzhik”. It refers to the speech in the village of Slavovitsa (Pazardzhik), which belongs to the territorial scope of the Ihthyman speech. The text describes some more specific phonetic and morphological features of speech. Attention has also been paid to historical changes in its phonetic system. It is by these peculiarities – phonetic and morphological, that there is a resemblance between the speech of the village of Slavovitsa and the Ihthyman speech, described in detail in Maxim Mladenov's book “Ihtiman Speech”.
