Summary/Abstract: In addition to the physical and mental efforts of their human resources, the emotional efforts and efforts of the human resources have now become important for businesses that want to be successful in a competitive environment. This situation is observed especially in professions where face-to-face communication is intense. With this research, it is aimed to determine the perception levels of employees working in the service sector regarding emotional labor. The research was carried out with the participation of operators working in tourism agencies operating in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. The findings of the research showed that the perception levels of the employees regarding emotional labor are relatively moderate. It was understood that the perception levels of employees regarding emotional labor did not show a statistically significant difference according to gender, but there was a statistically significant difference according to their marital status. As a result of the study, it was determined that the employees' views on emotional labor differ significantly according to the age and experience duration variable, but not according to the level of education. Recommendations have been developed based on the research findings.
