Summary/Abstract: After a short historical presentation, concerning the regional libraries from Teleorman and their present state of things, we have to admit that there are some problems the regional libraries are dealing with: places, the acquisition of books, the relationship with the local administration and community, personnel and its professional training, the organization of library and its activity – information, the creation of methodic centers, the organization of profesional discussions / meetings, giving information to public, the spreading activities of library and diffusion of books, the conection with mass-media.
