Summary/Abstract: Aim: The ease of international transportation, the expansion of the communication network, and the ease of transferring technological innovations between countries in every field cause a developing health service in a region to find global customers. The aim of this study is to reveal the factors affecting the effectiveness of health tourism by using the nominal group technique. Method: Nominal group technique method was used for this study. By examining the academic literature and legislation on health tourism, frequently expressed concepts were collected in a pool, and then, with the participation of health managers, clues that would lead to the effectiveness of health tourism were tried to be determined by using the nominal group technique. Results: In terms of health tourism, it has emerged that promotion, specialization, quality, competitive cost, and holistic approach with tourism are important, respectively. Constraints: The study conducted with the nominal group technique is limited to 20 health professionals. It was assumed that the participants knew about health tourism. Originality: With increased international cooperation and easy access to the health services offered in the global market, health tourism is becoming widespread. This study presents health tourism findings to healthcare professionals, health sector experts, and researchers.
