Summary/Abstract: The legislator imposed on local government units the obligation to manage local government property, taking into account the criterion of special diligence. Its consequence is obliging property managers to thoroughly analyze all the premises underlying the taking of activities in this area, related to the use of property as intended, to achieve a specific purpose and to meet the needs of local government residents. This is justified by the nature of the property and the type of tasks it should serve to accomplish. Imposing the obligation to comply with special diligence on property managers is a solution that fits in with the postulate of protecting and securing property to ensure continuity of public tasks.
