Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show the complex relationships between the human body and new technologies (new media) in relation to the concept of “embodied media”. It allows for a comprehensive, but also synthetic reflection on five key relationships-contexts: (1) audiovisual messages that represent selected genres, media formats and discourses on the subject of the body; (2) media typologies related to human sensitivities; (3) biomedia and human cyborgization processes; (4) the influence of the media on social imaginaries concerning the corporeality itself, and (5) the incorporation of media into the social body. These issues will be examined in relation to key contemporary concepts of the corporeality that represent (sub)disciplines such as film studies, media studies, (applied) clinical psychology/ psychotherapy, cyberpsychology, philosophy (mainly estetics and phenomenology of perception/ existence), and the arts studies.
