Renewable energy sources as a driving force for the development of the city of Konin

Summary/Abstract: The climate changes, renewable sources of conventional energy, and thetrends to strive for sustainable development cause that renewable energysources have become more and more crucial. It brings dividends not only forthe natural environment but also for the economic one. All that makes that itshould be invested in the Renewable Energy Sources (OZE). The main aim ofthat article is to deepen the knowledge and an analysis of the importance ofthe region in the development of renewable sources of energy. The subjectarea covered in that article indicates the essence and the meaning of RenewableEnergy Sources (OZE) in the economic growth of Konin. The accomplishedactions in the field of Renewable Energy Sources (OZE) constitute the attemptof the preparation of the region of the Eastern Greater Poland for the economictransformation in the case of an imminent departure from the conventionalenergy sources. The inspiration for the analysis was the author’s interestin the mentioned subject area. In order to write that article, the sourceliterature and the data get from the City Hall of Konin. The presented subjectarea needs further analysis.
