Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to characterise the right of access to classified information. A distinction is made between the right of access and the statements issued after the end of the vetting procedure. The peculiarities of the access to classified information on legal cases have been examined, while focus is given to the distinction of the positions that are authorised with access to classified information by right, or after conducted vetting procedure. The specifics of the training for how to deal with classified information and to apply the “need to know” principle have been considered. Suggestions de lege ferenda have been made aimed at the overcoming of the current problems in the process of exercising the discussed right.
