Summary/Abstract: The first part of this note discusses the achievements of the jubilee in analysing the clay sources of main production centres of Greek fine pottery and the second sums up the results of study of the Grey and similar wheel -turned wares in the area of the northern Aegean and the Black Sea, while in the third part the modest results of study of other local glazed and banded classes of pottery, which lacks still similar satisfying analyses, reported in order to turn attention to this field of study.
