The disadvantages and advantages of printed and electronic materials when studying streets` names related to religion in Gdansk Pomerania

Summary/Abstract: different kinds of source of information when studying streets` names relatedto religion. In Poland this small group of city naming was often changed someyears after the World War II into other secular names, almost did not growduring the socialist era and started to flourish from the 80s and 90s. In thebeginning the term and kinds of religious streets` names, then examples ofprinted (city maps, folders, guidebooks) and electronic materials (data baseTERYT of Central Statistical Office, maps on line) have been presentedregarding usefulness, difficulties and mistakes involved with each source. Casestudies come mainly from pomorskie voivodship.
