Summary/Abstract: The paper presents partial results of an extensive questionnaire research focusing on the curricular reform at elementary schools (primary and lower secondary level of school) in the Slovak Republic. It deals with the question of how elementary school teachers perceive the potential role of external (out-ofschool) subjects that could actively participate in forming the particular school curriculum as the means of the curricular reform.
