Summary/Abstract: The material brings to the public's attention the dispute between Romania and Ukraine, which appeared and was amplified during the 2000s, and which generated, at the same time, diplomatic tensions and concerns of the European Community related to environmental policies. Far from being solved, the problem remained in a relatively latent state, which can, at any time, escalate with negative consequences both economically and politically.
