Summary/Abstract: The paper is an analysis of the terrorist phenomenon, placed in a European context, likely to draw attention to the causes that generate it, the motivations behind the formation of terrorist cells, but also the effects that acts of terrorism spawn. Last but not least, I aimed to highlight the assimilation of terrorism into acts of organized crime, which are often logistically supported even by political forces or government organizations, thus eliminating the theory that terrorism is generated exclusively by religious reasons.
