Classified information during criminal proceedings. Current issues

Summary/Abstract: The current regulation of access to classified information during criminal proceedings is, in our opinion, a sensitive topic of discussion, with notable practical implications. The regulation of the access to classified information is relatively new in the national criminal procedural law. The state institutions and the practitioners alike encounter difficulties regarding the interpretation of the legal provisions in this matter. We propose a brief analysis of the current issues raised in terms of access to classified information during the criminal process, with emphasis on pragmatic problems.
