Summary/Abstract: Knowledge is a broad and abstract notion that has defined epistemological debate in western philosophy since the classical Greek era. The modern approach, however, reflects a considerable interest in treating knowledge as a significant organizational resource. It should be noted that 'Knowledge' and 'Knowledge Management' (KM) are complex and multifaceted concepts which are strongly attached to employees' skills and performance. This article will introduce a genuine 'Employee Knowledge Evaluation Model' with strong relationships to the knowledge-intensive R&D activity conducted mainly in the HT industry. This model is supported by a 'Knowledge Oriented Taxonomy' which introduces explicit knowledge criteria which can be identified and evaluated in most cases through performance. Considering firm's innovation as a primary objective, the importance of this model is apparent in the context of firm's comprehensive strategy. Hence, Implementation issues will be addressed concerning HRM strategies, KM, Marketing and Sales with substantial emphasis on employees as firm's most important asset.
