Summary/Abstract: Media today are an important socializing factor. Not only do they have a great impact on the behavior of an individual but also on the quality of life. Since 2008, media education has been incorporated in the state curriculum as one of cross-cutting themes; therefore it should be part of the teaching in all primary schools. The aim of our research was to find out how media education is being implemented in schools, particularly at primary level (pupils aged 6-10). The quality of media education was assessed from the point of view of school leaders and primary school teachers.
