The Public View of the Draft Amendments to the National Education Programme in the Slovak Republic in the Educational Area Man and the World of Work

Summary/Abstract: In 2013 the members of the subject commission Man and the World of Work prepared for approval a proposal of amendments for the teaching content of the technical subject at primary schools in Slovakia. A draft of the content and performance standards were prepared. The draft expected the extension of time allocated to the teaching of the technical subject at primary schools in Slovakia as well as a qualitative shift of the educational content. The public could express their opinion to the draft in electronic form. Respondents generally supported the idea of amendments to the National Education Program and innovation of curriculum. The paper contains a substantial part of the public comments and opinions to the draft and also the comments and explanations of the subject commission.
