Summary/Abstract: Based on limited current knowledge and experience, those at highest risk of severe illness from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are people aged 65 years or above, people living in nursing homes or long-term care facilities, and people of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled (1,2). Coronavirus disease is caused by a respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, in December 2019. COVID-19 is a new virus that had not caused illness in humans before. It has resulted in infections of pandemic proportions, causing illness and deaths. New cases are being reported daily and information about COVID-19 is emerging from many valid and less valid sources.
