Summary/Abstract: The presented study deals with a key aspect of the profession of a teacher in higher education - the likelihood of psychosocial stress occurring under the influence of psychosocial factors inherent in this type of work. The analysis is based on a national representative survey conducted in October-November 2019 among university teachers in the country commissioned by the „Working Conditions“ Fund and implemented by the “Higher Education” Trade Union -"Podkrepa" Confederation of Labour. The results are quite disturbing - psychosocial factors have a very strong influence on the work of teachers and are a source of high levels of psychosocial stress. The situation requires urgent implmentation of adequate policies to minimize psychosocial stress.
