Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to elaborate the conceptualization of the human person or agent, which is effectuated in contemporary social sciences. The author of this text refers to contemporary scholars, the Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor and European sociologists Margaret S. Archer and Pierpaolo Donati. She presents common points and certain differences, which emerge from their concepts regarding the social and individual effects upon the contemporary person
