Didactic Methods in Teaching the Playing of the Organ for the Liturgy

Summary/Abstract: Liturgical organ playing is mainly associated with the organ in Catholic liturgy, with the initial literature being selected from organ methods. These provide the student with an understanding of the appropriate playing habits and basic interpretative skills. However, how do we proceed correctly in teaching liturgical organ playing? The submitted contribution points to the importance of correct selection of appropriate literature and methodological procedures, especially in the initial phase of teaching.
