Towards the Issue of the Maximum Amount of Pensions

Summary/Abstract: The article treats the issue of the maximum amount of pensions under Bulgarian law. The historical and comparative analysis of this issue shows various legal regulations. The idea of the article is that the provision of § 6 (1) SIC does not contradict to the Constitution, to Convention No. 37 of the International Labour Organization and to the Additional Protocol to the International Covenant for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. This provision is in accordance with the principles of the social state, of solidarity and with the pay-as-you-go principle of the basic obligatory pension’s insurance.
