Summary/Abstract: The year 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the ratification of the fundamental international European act on social rights – the European Social Charter. Unfortunately, this act is insuf fi - ciently valued in the Bulgarian legal system and its application. Because of that, an examination is made of the specifi cs of the structure, content and effect of this act as well as the control over its observance.
