Summary/Abstract: The article concerns Martyna Bunda’s novel Nieczułość [The Obduracy]. The author of the text examines the relationship between the mother and her three daughters. She is interested in the reconstruction of the family tree, which strengthens only the female branches, invalidating the male parts. In the dedication to the book, Martyna Bunda revealed how important the female universe is for her, but recognised dynamically and relationally. This way of perceiving relationships between mother and daughter as well as the category of daughterhood and sisterhood in recent years is the subject of many interesting analyses within feminist philosophy, literature and social sciences. The author of this article focuses also on the category of trauma and wound as factors of changing the relationships between the female figures in the novel.
