Summary/Abstract: The Edict of Mediolanum in 313 AD made St. Constantine the Great enter the history of the Church, being considered similar to the Apostles . He will lay the foundation for new relations between Church and State. Since St. Constantine, the churchwill experience a new stage, from persecutions to building churches and adorningthem, to involvement in the major doctrinal disputes, helping the poor, etc. But,more than that, the king will take some action against paganism, especially againstthose who were against the religious manifestations of Christian morality.
