Summary/Abstract: Lucreția Jurj was one of the few women who were involved in the anti-communist armed resistance in Romania. Between 1950 and 1954 she was a member of the "Teodor Șușman" Group, active in the Apuseni Mountains. She was arrested and sentenced to forced labour for life, later reduced to 25 years of forced labour, out of which she served 10. After 1990, she shared her life experience with the larger public.
