Summary/Abstract: The heritage of the medieval European legal culture is represented by both the legaland canonical sources. The legal one is composed of four works by Emperor Justinian (527-565), that circulated in a single legal format as “Corpus Juris Civilis” fromthe twelfth century to the present day. As regards the canonical sources, they arerepresented by the canonical phrase of the Eastern Orthodox Church and by CorpusJuris Canonici. In this juridical-canonical study, I made express reference only toCorpus Juris Civilis and to Corpus Juris Canonici.
