Non-nominative Constructions with Impersonal Verbs and Personal Verbs in Impersonal Sense Translated from Russian into Polish (Based on the Work of Gallego R. White on Black)

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this article is to compare Russian non-nominative constructions with impersonal verbs and personal verbs in impersonal meaning from the original works of Ruben Gallego White on Black, as well as their equivalents in Polish translation. The Russian non-nominative constructions were analyzed with the main focus on how they were presented in the translation. The particular attention was focused on the predictive centre of the sentence and on the subject. Similarities and differences in both sentences were attempted to discern.
