Summary/Abstract: Work as a human activity is one of the fundamental factors shaping the stability of society and an individual life. Unemployment as a phenomenon closely related to work is an element of destabilization and risk. Firstly, this article presents a theoretical analysis of both phenomena, and then indicates its specific fluctuations in a specific area of the country. This analysis is based on data provided by the Poviat Labor Office in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
