Summary/Abstract: The study outlines a possible intercultural approach to Nicholas A. Christakis’s book Apollo’s Arrow, published in 2020. First, it recalls some of the virus stories found in science popularizing literature, and then it deals with the cultural-historical relationship systems of epidemiology themes. In context building, it touches on a variety of disciplines through popularizing publications, from virology, through historiography, and climate research to network theory. Then, of the literature on COVID-19, it draws attention to Christakis’s book, which is one of the most productive enterprises in the outlined context and the most complex undertaking to discuss a pandemic. The study thus simultaneously makes available the point of view components of Apollo’s Arrow and their antecedents in the field of science popularization.
