Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issues of the relations between the Sorbs and Poles after 1945, with particular emphasis on the figure of the outstanding painter Jan Buk. It presents the conditions for the creation of the pro-Sorbian movement in Poland and assesses its consequences for contemporary Sorbian-Polish relations.
