Summary/Abstract: Starting with the 2006-2007 school year, after the elaboration of the National Strategy for early education, the Ministry of Education launched and consistently promoted the concept of early education, especially taking into account the fact that early, integrated development of children is a global priority. In this sense, in accordance with the international documents to which Romania is a signatory (Convention on the Rights of the Child, Millennium Development Goals, etc.), the Ministry of Education has assumed the role of initiator of early education programs to address the multiple needs of the child, taking into account health, nutrition, education, appropriate psychosocial stimulation and, last but not least, the role of the environment in which he lives.
