Summary/Abstract: Integrative dance is an essential part of dance therapy, which forms a scientific direction around the second half of the 20th century. In this connection, the integrative dance is assigned to social, clinical and psychotherapeutic prac-tices, which are using the instruments of dance as an inclusive method, but also include other expressive arts. The focus of the study falls on the choreographer Hilde Holger, a pioneer in theinclusivedance as an integrative therapeutic meth-od in Europe. Its practical methods have been outlined, resulting in integration that holistically loads dance and therapy. The research marks the emblematic examples for one of the first dance performances for people with mental and physical problems in Europe. The contributions of dance as integrative method are presented as a direction of the Dance Therapy science and values dance as “art for all people”.
