Summary/Abstract: The closest surroundings is a place where children should meet with art. They participate in the dissemination of art and culture, museums collections, architecture and outdoor sculptures. The fundamental problem of the research carried out with the method of product analysis referred to the part of the cultural heritage present in the urban space, which is of the greatest value for children. The research questions concerned the abundance of the architectural objects depicted by the students as well as the ways of presenting the structure of the illustrated section of their own town. The research material were drawings made by the children aged 8-9. Analysis of graphical records allowed to draw conclusions referring to the indication of the most attractive objects and places for early school-age children in the place where they live.
