Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of the castor bean tick. It discusses current issues related to health protection and prevention of the diseases transmitted by ticks. The paper brings partial results of research aimed at identifying the current state of primary and secondary education teachers' knowledge of this issue. It also maps the results of the availability of methodical materials concerning the above-mentioned topic.
