From the history of the professional press on the example of publications for librarians in the interwar period

Summary/Abstract: The article defines and discusses history of professional press with special attention paid to publications for librarians and for people close to this environment. The article presents the origin of periodicals Bibliotekarz and Biuletyn Biblioteki Publicznej m.st. Warszawy published in 1919, 1929–1939. On the basis of the said periodicals, the authors provided content analysis (regular columns) and content evaluation, which proved their librarian character.
