Summary/Abstract: The civil service is one of the pillars of good governance. It was regulated by the Civil Service Act and now by the Act on Civil Service. The author focused on the change in legislation by amending Act 218/2002 Coll., The Civil Service Act, implemented by a very specific legislative process, which led to the adoption of the Act on Civil Service.
