Elements of e-government in the field of identity cards

Summary/Abstract: The legal regulation of identity cards in the Czech Republic has undergone fundamental changes since the beginning of the millennium, which aim in particular at simplifying the procedure for issuing identity cards and facilitating communication between the holder and public authorities. The aim of the paper is to clarify the tasks and relevant elements of e-government in the current legislation.
