Summary/Abstract: The article presents the eschatological dimension of the procession of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) based on texts taken from the Polish Post-Conciliar Ritual. The procession as a symbol of the People of God on the way to the Father’s House shows the meaning of human life on earth. On this road, the faithful are fed with the Body and Blood of Christ, which in the ceremony are the key to understanding eschatology. Pericopes read at every statio of the procession focus on the gift of bread, which after consecration becomes the Body of the Lord and a guarantee of eternal life. However, the understanding of the procession itself must be based on a Christological background. The earthly life of Jesus was a model for the faithful. In such an attitude, the Lord also appears to the faithful as the Way and Life through which one reaches the Father. The awareness of the communio sanctorum and the fact that they participate in the heavenly liturgy already during the celebration of the Mass also helps the faithful to proceed towards the Heavenly Jerusalem. The procession of human life ends with the feast of the Lamb’s Wedding. The march of human beings on earth is only stopped in the face of death, which not so much ends human existence, as transforms it so that the faithful can be with God forever.
