Formal Processes in The View of Vojin Komadina

Summary/Abstract: Vojin Komadina dedicated almost half of his rich compositional opus to the field of vocal music. The focus of the research of his creative opus has been mostly directed towards choral music and solo songs, while the field of chamber music has remained quite neglected. However, within the chamber music genre, there are also works whose artistic value, as well as the position in the evolution of the composer's creative technique, is significant in many aspects. One of them is View, Six Songs for Chamber Ensemble and Alto. Therefore, this composition will be considered the first step in the evolution of Komadina's expression: from the (school-like) neoclassical expression to the avant-garde outcome in Microcantates.
