Summary/Abstract: In this paper, systematic and system oriented approach is emphasized and organizational aspects are considered for e-learning implementation within institutions. In accordance with the postulated general organization model, organization of the very e-learning activity and organization of an institution in implementing such an organized activity are differentiated. E-learning environment represents the key factor and the result of e-learning activity organization. Factors of e-learning activity organization, distinguished in the formulated communications model, are integrated by means of information technology tools for performing the instructional activities deriving from the classified pedagogical perspectives. The learning management system (LMS) is the most prominent factor, software technology tool to integrate business and pedagogical functions of e-learning environment. Adaptivity, as well as differences between academic and corporate LMSs are considered. Global strategic framework, namely the value-chain analysis, is applied to organization of an institution on implementation of e learning. General issues on organization of an institution, namely organizational structure, centralization of authority and business function outsourcing in the context of e learning organization are also distinguished and considered.
