Summary/Abstract: This article presents the current state of research on neologisms in German on the subject of the corona crisis. The vocabulary research at the Leibniz Institute for the German Language in Mannheim led to the currently most extensive glossary of Corona words in German. An overview of different subject groups and types of neologisms is given. Finally, some typical examples related to the corona pandemic are described, such as Social Distancing, Herdenimmunität (herd immunity), Maske or Mundschutz?, Homeoffice und Homeschooling, Viruswolke (virus cloud) etc.
