Summary/Abstract: Gregoriu (Grigore) Ştefănescu was the third direc tor of the Natural History Museum from Bucharest. His activity as director (1867–1893) in a period of transition between the old museum of Valştain and Ferreratti to the new one of Grigore Antipa, was revealed. Also some important and precious pieces from museum collection from his time.
