Summary/Abstract: This paper provides insight into the pilgrimage context of the representations of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher using the example of 1789 erusalimia in Mostar. Constituent elements of the image were brought in connection to the rituals performed by the pilgrims in the church. These were described in the diary of Russian pilgrim Barskiy during the first half of the 18th century.
