Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with representations of the Tower of David and the Gate of Jaffa in jerusalimias. These representations did put a stress both on details and the buildings as a whole. Some of the scenes feature representations of King David. Different stories are linked to this place, above all those of composing the Psalter there, and David seeing Bathsheba while bathing. The Tower of David was rendered as the thematic and visual entry into the city of Jerusalem. In that way, representations of marginal pictorial importance demonstrate the interaction between the entry and meaning as exemplified by jerusalimias.
