Summary/Abstract: The great entomologist-hemipterologist of french origin, A. L. Montandon (1852–1922), settled in Romania in 1873. He studied also the crop pest insects. The three original docu ments dating from 1899, presented in the paper, are related to this study. They are preserved in the “Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History” – Bucharest.
