Summary/Abstract: The text contains basic data and calculated indicators on the basis of which the financial situation of the Polish enterprise sector in 2015-2019 was assessed. The reasons for taking up this topic are explained in the introduction. Then, several issues characterizing the macroeconomic phenomena of the Polish economy, which have a significant impact on the situation of enterprises, are presented. They concern: the size of GDP and its structure, public debt, exchange rates and others. The text contains absolute data, relevant relationships and evaluations, revenues, costs and financial results trends. Both positive and negative phenomena and tendencies were indicated. An important segment of the financial situation of enterprises is the development of current assets. Their dynamics and structure as well as their influence on financial liquidity and productivity are presented. Investments by enterprises are especially a sign of development. Their absolute size, dynamics and structure are presented, and internal sources of investment financing are indicated, stating that these sources were not a barrier to financing. The financial surplus in the form of net financial results and depreciation could have allowed enterprises to finance larger expenditures than they were actually realized. The end of the text is a synthesis and basic conclusions.
