Summary/Abstract: The essay looks at the few and short, but strikingly significant references that Giorgio Agamben makes to pleasure throughout his work. Starting with an analysis of history, I discuss his critique of the concept of time, which, in his book Infancy and History, culminates with a reflection on the Aristotelian concept of pleasure.
